40 things before I am 40!!!

Hello,

I have just celebrated my 30th birthday and have recieved many lovely presents including a journal that my lovely friends have instructed me to use as a 40 things to do before I am 40!!

Each page is numbered and has a section for writting what I want to do and another section for a picture evidence, this is a wonderful present and I cant wait to start it which will be tonight - having fish and chips in the park with my husband!!

I will update with the other 39 things I would like to do over the next few days.

What 40 things would you want to do?

What a lovely thing to do. I am afraid its too late for me for this lol, I would have to be doing 60 things before I am 60 and sure I cant think of that many.

Thats such a lovely idea. I would like to have a baby before Im 40 although I only have just over a year left so that might be wishful thinking! I wouldnt care about the other 39 if I could have that. Look forward to hearing about the rest of the things you are going to do. x

One of the usual things is a parachute jump. I did that in my 20s but can't any more due to an operation I had. I'd like to get married before I'm 40. I'm 36 now, so we'd better get a move on with the saving up!

That's a fabulous idea though, what great friends you have!

Get settled with a permanent partner;
Have a couple of kids;
Have a nice house.

Eat sushi in an authentic restaurant,
Dress up as a pirate for work,
Have a food fight,
Go to Japan,

Hi,

I am 31 and also have a 40 things to do before i'm 40 list. Here are some of mine............ some are probably wishful thinking!!

Pay off my mortgage
Have afternoon tea
Be a tourist for a weekend in London
Pay for a family holiday
Drive a lorry
Give blood regularly
Get a dog
Play Golf
etc.....

gosh i wouldn't know where to start. i'm 30 in 3 months so i've prob left it too late to do a 30's list , so 40 might a good target for me. i generally tho seem to do all i want, but i guess when you do sit and think about it there is prob quit e few things i could come up with.

i know i would like to return to bermuda i loved it their and i would love to take the children down the crystal caves, and experiance all the beautiful beaches.

i'd love to go on an old steam train for a romantic dinner with hubby and spend the night on the train.

wouldn't mind having a go at sky diving

move to cornwall or failing that just buy a holiday home their and move down slowly so hubby doens't notice were spending more and more time there,lol.

get my pilots license, i've always loved flying and helicopters and after dating a pilot my love of helicopters has never died.if not a license then at least have a few lessons. or perhaps just one depending on the cost,lol.

gonna have a think on this . i should prob come up with more suitable/sensible things to do before i'm 40.

I had a list for before I'm 30 but only a small one as I started it very late!
A few things I can remember off hand were :
holiday on a tropical island
get married
have a baby
eat pasta in italy
visit st ives again

On my 40's list I intend to have:
have my pic taken at the top of the eiffel tower
have a family holiday on a tropical island
eat pizza in new york
visit venice again and have a gondola ride
start a uni course

i need to have a good think, but I shall be starting my 40's list early next year. It would be great to see how everyone gets on with their lists.

i have a few years yet but all i want is very simple is for me to watch my children grow and be happy, a move may be on the cards a bit later

Things to do before 40 -oh how I wish........those days are long gone .......but when I got to 60 I did set out each year to try something I'd not done before...........all very achievable really
Card making
Water colour classes
Decorating techniques class
Using computer
Doing familytree
Scrapbooking
Creating home made xmas and birthday pressies -all simple bits
Keep gardening journal and daily journal
Taking coach holidays in UK to places we'd not been to (Eden Project, Loch Lomond etc) -did that last year

I did all these (thankfully) as now I'm disabled I'm more limited than I was.........so now different ''stuff to do''-still thinking about them:)

If you make your list of achievable things you'll get so much satisfaction when you've done something
