Received letter from Bryan Carter Solicitors

One of my debts got passed to Bryan Carter early this year. They sent me similar letters all in official looking high quality paper etc but never received anything from the courts too and never heard anymore. I'm not suggesting your bury your head in the sand like me, but as someone has said above if you look at the way they write it designed to scare you into calling them, especially since your debt will be soon heading to SB status.
A lot can happen in 2 years though.
I'd be incliden just to wait and see if anything comes through the door. Chances are they'll have sent another threatening letter through, after that it will be worth to see if the debt is enforceable via a CCA request.0 -
Hey folks, just had the court papers through the post....0

Bah. Ok, I'm at my limit of knowledge as to what to do now. So hopefully someone who knows more about dealing with court papers will come along

Good luck.0 -
After reading around the net, it seems the right way to go is to fill in the AoS form on the moneyclaim website and then fire off a CPR 31.14 request to Bryan Carter. fingers crossed this works...0

send a cca letter and wait. the account should be on hold. i got a letter from bc solicitors today....as said above the words IF and WHEN are different but mine says SHOULD THIS DEBT BLAH BLAH........ FI sent me a statement like i asked for but to be honest it looks like something i could make up in 10 mins on microsoft word. i asked for a signed copy of the "agreement " for what i`m supposed to have got into debt for but had nothing with a signature on it. also when you send any letters DO NOT SIGN THEM!!!!!! PRINT YOUR NAME IN CAPITAL LETTERS!!!!! they can copy and paste your signature to letters.0
