Baines & Ernst won't stop calling me - are they legit?

I filled out a form online last night on their website to see if I was eligible for a DRO.

Since 9am this morning I have received SIX phone calls from them. Six calls in the space of two hours! I can't answer them because i'm visiting relatives and I don't want them to hear me talk to them.

What sort of way is this to treat people who are more than likely receiving harassing phone calls from their creditors every day?

I've heard B&E are a quick way of getting a DRO but i'm not sure if I want to deal with them now.

I guess it depends on your definiton of legit. They are a company who can help people with a DRO, but they are certainly not well liked on here.
We would always recommend getting impartial advice from one of the charities.
There should be no reason that having assistance from B&E would mean your DRO would be obtained any quicker than if you used one of the charities.

I have spoken to national debt helpline and CCCS but they both have a waiting list of up to 10 weeks. I saw someone on here say they managed to get their DRO submitted via B&E within 24 hours, which is why I contacted them.

Fair enough - I had no idea that CCCS's waiting list was a long as that. I suppose if you've had advice from elsewhere and therefore certainly wouldn't let B&E talk you into a different debt solution (such as one that makes them a lot more money) then there shouldn't be anything wrong with using them - providing you can put up with the ridiculous amount of phone calls it would seem.

2 more phone calls from them since 11am! When I do answer the phone to them i'm going to give them a piece of my mind and I certainly won't be using them for my DRO - i'd rather wait a couple of weeks and do it through a charity who won't harass me and try to profit from my situation.
