the perfect turkey

Can anyone give me some advice or point me towards a previous thread for cooking a turkey crown? I always find the meat to be a little dry so I would like to know the best way to cook a moist one and should I cook it upside down?
Thanks

  • I normally cook mine breast side up and get good results, and turn say half way through the cooking process.

As for keeping it moist covering it losely with foil for all but the last 30 mins should stop it totally drying out.

    Hope that helps a little.
  • I put streaky bacon under the skin and a litttle butter on top. I think the golden rule is to not over cook it.

Yes, this is THE rule. Many people have different ways they swear by, but if you over cook it, it will be dry. Also, ENSURE you let it rest once out of the oven. Leave it for 10-20 minutes before carving, covered with foil. Also, I would cover it with foil throughout most of the cooking and remove for the last 30-60mins to brown. :)
