    Seriously, if you *met* any chickens, you wouldn't touch cheap chicken with a barge pole. Like cats and dogs, they all have their own personalities and if us humans wish to eat them, the least we can do is let them have a decent standard of living whilst they're alive.

    If you kept cats or dogs in the conditions that broiler chickens are kept in, you'd be prosecuted.

    The "I need cheap chicken to feed my family" argument doesn't wash I'm afraid, when there are plenty of cheaper options for protein.
