Is This Tax Fraud?

Any company behaving in this way is gaining an enormous advantage over its competitors. It can undercut the honest business and eventually drive them out of business.

Should we not go along the American way & have incentives for whistle blowers who can have 10% of the tax/fraud involved as a reward ?

Don't know about the 10%, but HMRC do pay for information received in certain circumstances.

If you don't care whether your boss suspects you of informing on him, go right ahead and report him. I'm sure it's dead easy to get another job even with no references.

Why would you want to work for this criminal?
This is exactly what's wrong with the system. Report the lot of them! I hope the leeches lose their benefits and they all get big fines.
Got a country with no money here! Can't afford to let leeches live off the TAX payer!!!

I really hope you're serious, but suspect a level of irony...0 -

To be honest, who wants to reference their criminal employer for their next job?
About 3 years ago, while I was at UNI, I got a job at a 'school'. I should have said something at the time, but I quickly learned that they were not doing things legally.
Everyone was paid cash. No contracts, not on minimum wage etc. etc. They got around this by calling everyone 'contractors', which I found suspect.
But the worst part was, I am 90% sure that the school was funded by immigrant 'students' who pay annual tuition fees, but don't actually attend class.
I got out of there as quickly as I could.
You can bet they aren't listed on my CV as a reference or in my work experience.0 -

Whilst I agree with your post I think when someone has bills to pay they can't just walk out of a job no matter what they think of their employer. Jobs are hard to get and DWP aren't very sympathetic when someone tries to sign on having voluntarily made themselves unemployed. Catch 22 situation for the unfortunate employee here. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
