I want a digital camera

My APS camera has just broken on me and I want to replace it with a digital cameral but I don't know the first thing about them. I want to pay £100 - £125 and want it to be a decent one for that price range. I have seen some in Argos that are 1/2 price etc but I don't know how good they are. What specifications do I need for it to be a decent camera? I am willing to wait until after Christmas for the sales.

I use a Sony DSCP200 (bought it a couple of years ago, when I worked for Sony) and find it to be very good.
