    These sometimes have offers

An all seasons (4.5 and 9.0 tog) duvet will probably be better for fitting in to a washing machine

I have a John Lewis Premium White Goose Down Duvet. 600 Fill Power. Weight 355g per Square Metre. Case is down-proof Cambric. 4.5 Tog.

It's incredibly light. Synthetic duvets now feel suffocatingly heavy to me.

It's also warm in Winter... cannot imagine how anyone can feel comfortable under a 13.5 Tog Duvet.

We have a lovely goose down duvet, its a king size 13.5 tog and is wonderful.

Once a year on a hot day it gets thrown in the bath and washed, wring it out as much as we can then run down stairs and cram it into the washing machine on a spin only cycle - it has a couple of attempts at balancing the machine before it spins and i only ever do it on the slowest spin.

After that its out on the line to bake in the sun and then shove it into the dryer to fluff out the feathers once again and its like brand new. Just air it for a while and then back onto the bed.

We bought ours around 7 years ago and it was a great investment.
