15yr old sis wants to make some pin money

Options
As the title really, my 15 year old sis is struggling to get a job at the moment but want to start earning some money herself,

So I am trying to find some survey sites for her. I've told her to join Youngpoll, but wondered if you could point us in the direction of anything else?

She's going to do a carboot with us in a week or two and earns some money babysitting for me, shee hands down her clothes to our youngest sister so not much chance of her getting me or mum to ebay any of her stuff.

There's no money in those stupid polls and surveys. You could do them all day and only earn £1.
Can she not get a proper job somewhere? A few hours a week or at weekends in the Local store or clothes shop or something. Failing that what about a paper or milk round, i used to make a fortune when i was 15 doing both. After you've done it a while you can get on to collecting the money and you make loads doing that.

yer she's been looking for a job since she was 14 but got nothing, she lives in a little village in the middle of nowhere and the paper rounds are done in a van in the village.

There's not much about for the young ones today! I've suggested babysitting but "mum" isnt happy about her doing that so she's abit stuck!
  • If she can't do decent jobs wait till she's 16, most places hire then. Has she tried internships?

Has she tried asking at the local hairdresser whether they need a saturday girl? They may be able to offer her something.

As its a village/rural area here are some more suggestions

    • Glass collecting/cleaning in local pub
    • Flyer to all houses in village offering car washing/grass cutting etc
    • Cleaning at village hall
    • Cleaning local holiday cottages
    • Fruit picking/potato picking at local farm
    • Dog walking for those that work
    • Work at local stable yard
Also have another think about ebay - she doesn't just have to sell clothes. What about having a clear out of the loft/shed/garage/understairs cupboards and see what delights there are that can be sold.

Also, very few villages are truly in the middle of nowhere. Are you sure that there isn't a town close enough to get to by bus for a Saturday job?

Could she not to odd jobs for the neighbours?

Its coming up to summer and people often go away, so may want someone to pick up the post/feed the cat, water the plants etc.'

Alternatively, there are things like ironing, washing the cars etc.

    Its very difficult isnt it
Ive got a 17 yr old step daughter and a 16 yr old foster daughter, bith have been looking for jobs for ages and nothing about
so ive now got extra terrotries on my Avon round and the girls help me and get paid for it, not much, but every little bit helps
Theyve gone to b&b guest houses, cafes and nothing about, normally they would of got a washing up job in a pub or something, but all seems to be dead here
    Hope she finds something soon
