Mothercare jive stroller bargin

Mothercare online have a sale on pushchairs. If you purchase the jive stroller for £34.99 you get the accessories free (rrp £19.99) however I also added the bugaboo bee parasol which I needed and it took off another £10 and gave free delivery.So altogether I got a pushchair hood, raincover bag and parasol. However it seems to work with other pushchair accessories, might help someone.

Don't mean to rain on your parade and perhaps it was just our bad luck, but...
We have had 2 Jive strollers (the 2nd was a replacement) and they both tore where the seat is held on to the metal frame at the side.

We found them really cheaply built and the wheels also dont last 5 minutes. If you intend to use it a lot I would definitely recommend a Maclaren buggy or something else instead. Such a shame as Mothercare do lovely designs

P.S. ours were n't even used that much as we mainly travel by car. I hate to think how long they would last if used for a school run etc!

i saw this in store last week, seems a good deal for a basic stroller, i have had a few jive's, they are not as good as the original blue one i had (purchased in 2003) it has been my main pushchair for my 3 children and is still going strong, which gave me confidence to buy another few for my other children a few years later (pink one and night garden one) but with these one's the wheels both came off both of them and they creeked etc..so i dont think they make them as well now but they are ideal for holidays/spares etc, good value for money with the free accessories

I'm afraid i have to agree.

We had roughly the same scenario -

2 frame repairs
1full seat replacement
Wheels worn very quickly

Ours was also not used everyday as it was purchased for when our grandson stayed ( and we tend to travel by car, so only used when out shopping, or on days out ).

We eventually replaced this after about 8 months as we didn't feel safe using it.
Could just be our bad luck though.:(
