If you sign up with this company, your debts are going to hanging over your head for years and you won't be getting a mortgage anytime soon.

They will NOT take control of your debts, all they will do is offer your creditors a reduced amount each month. This will mean that your accounts will go into default, your credit rating will be shot and you won't be clear for at least six years. They CANNOT guarantee to "freeze" your debts, or stop the interest, only your creditors can make that decision and to be honest, you can ask them to do that yourself, why pay someone £300 to ask on your behalf?

The £70 "admin" fee will just be the start, they will probably take a cut of your monthly payment too, as well as the first two months payment. All of this could be going towards paying your debts, which you are going to have to do sooner or later. There is no "get-out" clause, no easy way, you just have to do what the rest of us are doing....cut down your expenditure, give up spending money on unnecessary stuff, maybe get another/better job (easier said than done, I know!) and get a grip on your finances. If you are looking to buy a place of your own, you're not going to have nice holidays, new cars etc etc anyway. Unless you have rich parents or a fantastic job, you can't have it all, sadly.

However......there is a lot that you can do to help yourself. What are your debts? Credit cards? Mobile contracts? Post up a SOA and let us have a look. You can stop credit card companies from putting up the interest whenever they like (although you have to "close" the account and cut up the card) Mobile companies will sometimes lower your tariff if you know how to ask nicely, doesn't always work but it can be worth a try. You can do a lot of the work yourself for the price of a few stamps, we have letters on here that you can send to your creditors, telling them that you have financial difficulties and that you want to pay at a reduced rate.

But be warned...you WILL have to repay these debts so you may as well bite the bullet and start now, whilst you're young enough not to have to worry about paying bills and keeping a family. It's tough, I know, but you're not alone and I can promise you, you will be so glad that you did! Good luck! :)
