I get 3 simcards off an ebay seller for about £3 each, 1gb for a month, can't fault them, just pop a new one into the 3 dongle when the old one expires, great for nights away, hotels etc, less hassle than cashback.

hi im sure i have a "spare" 3 dongle knocking about which im sure my friend also unlocked for me... how does this work? I'm guessing you cant go over if its PAYG sims?

    TIA

This is a brilliant idea, as I currently pay £10 a month, hope you don't mind but can you let me know the seller you use on Ebay, as the cheapest I can find is £4.59, which is still a good deal for me, however if I can get it cheaper!

Three mobile 3gb 3 month sims cards were going for £7.50 on amazon, but last time i got one it was about £12. Still good.

Just tried to get the 02 dongle with £25 cashback, and surprise, surprise - my order can only be finalised if a ring them (that would mean no cashback).

its possible to use this SIM meant for a phone

    in a 3 dongle

You can get £12.12 cashback for it from TCB (it registers as a handset purchase) so it costs just £3 for a months unlimited internet

However I have read one report in the internet of someone getting cut off after 2 weeks as 3 know the SIM is in a dongle & not a phone - that has not happened to me yet though - even 2 weeks unlimited at £3 is still quite good IMO

I have found the speed very variable - at peaks times it it impossible to stream/download but at off peak hours the speed is perfectly acceptable - IIRC I have had speeds around 3 to 4MB/s

It looks like they are now the cheapest, my last batch were £2.89 each so clearly prices have increased, still my best option though.

No you can't go over, just 'runs out' and invites you to buy extra, or it expires.

Thanks for the heads up on the O2. I'll use TCB, as I had over £100 worth of cashback last month, so my £25 will be topped up to just over £26, plus I covert to Amazon.

I do have an old dongle which I used a while back, and I'm planning on going away for just over a week at the end of the month, and will be using laptop and dongle. Instead of topping up £10 on the dongle for a months useage, I can use the new deal, and effectively pay only £4.
  • thanks this is a great deal. i needed something like this asap.
