Generally three months payslips, and matching bank statements.

    They may dislike probation periods.

That said, it is possible to get a mortgage one month in, but just depends on the whole set of circumsntances.

Depends on the job, the lender and your other 'risk factors'

With a decent deposit and a good credit score I got a mortgage while I was technically unemployed but due to start a new job in a few weeks. Luckily there was no probation period and payroll were happy to confirm my future income.

Generally, you'll need to have a permanent contract and be out of any probation period, if you only have a 10% deposit or you're a first time buyer you may have to wait until you've been in the job up to 6 months.

I completed on my first mortgage about 6 weeks after relocating and starting a new job. It was 100%.

But that was back in 1984. Things may have changed :D
