Hi All
I wonder if someone can help
I am hoping to make a cake for a summer fair tomorrow and have a 300ml tub of double cream which needs using.
Does anyone have any recipes for a cake/dessert/bakery item which would use the cream in recipe or filling and which can be left out of the fridge for a number of hours tomorrow (whilst being sold/travelling home with purchaser)
Thanks in advance

Just thought about bread and butter pudding - is there any way i can make it look pretty in single potions? Do you think it would go down ok at a summer fair?
Any other ideas welcome!!0 -
what about truffles? Or do you have any freezer blocks you could put in - you know the little cool pack things? Or could you throw a bag of frozen veg in with the cake to keep it cool?
OUr double cream thread may have some ideas and we also have freezing double cream
let us know what you decide and we will merge this later
we also have this thread which may have some ideas and our B & B pudding thread
ZipA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I'd make a chocolate cake with ganache topping. Usually it's equal parts melted cream & chocolate and as the cream is heated it's ok to be out of the fridge for a few days I believe.0
