You shouldn't need to tick all boxes .... this is a recurring problem they've been told about but have failed to fix yet

I just entered and only had to tick the t&cs box!

Email Elle & complain everyone - eventually they will have to listen & fix it. The law is quite clear in that you have a choice as to whether to subscribe to something via text or email - or not. It could be argued Elle force users to subscribe.

Also as stated in the OP

Elle do not normally ask that all boxes be ticked and, as in this case, the problem was rectified so no need for complaining emails.

While I am bumping to say the above beelzebomb can I draw your attention to the button, as a web designer I'm sure you have noticed it. You have mentioned how you have won things in the past but haven't thanked ANY OPs or helpful posters since joining MSE. HTH and happy comping!
