Its probably one of halfords usuall 'bargains' whereby they hike the price first then slash it so they can say its half price - my partner works for them! the best time to get an actual bargain from halfords is when the new bikes come out and they reduce the year befores models0

I've just taken my son to Halfords to get the bike he wanted, but the sale ended on the 2nd of January and the bike is now £50 more. Any idea when there going to drop again? or anyone got a discount code?
The bikes he was looking at are:
Apollo XC.24s 12" Unisex Bike
or
Apollo MX20.3 BMX Bike

dont bother with the "MX20.3" as its crap for the money, get the "X rated Snare" its MUCH better for the same money, better brakes stronger wheels its more like a proper BMX. btw I work in one of the UKs top halfords so if you have any other bike questions at all fire away!
oh yeah avoid "Shockwave" bikes at all costs!!!!!!!0 -
I have bought 2 bikes in the past 2 years from halfords and both have had problems. I took them back for repairs before and after guarantees ran out. but service was poor i had to book the bike in for repair which was 3 weeks away and as i ride to work every day wasnt an option so ended up with second bike.
Since then i have tried a proper bike shop with a superb sales assistant who was able to tell me how long each bike would last depending on usage given that nothing major happens whilst explaining what you get for a more expensive bikeall views, comments and opinions are mine and i have the right to be wrong0
