Tesco taking Sainsbury coupons

I recieved through the post the other week a batch of Sainsbury coupons with 10.00 off when I spent 50.00. I had one for each week up until the 1st week of January.

Just gone to Tesco and served by a young lad and they were very busy. He took all the coupons I had left (50.00) of them and the whole lot scanned through  :D even took the coupon that ran out last weekend :rotfl:

So my shop after multibuys etc was 145.00 and I got it for 95.00.

So if you have any of these go for it over the next few days when they are busy ;)
Not in debt at the moment, but been there in the past and realise I'm the kind of person who could easily fall back into it with the self destructing spending button so making sure I keep on top of being a good girl.

2.00 saver club = 46.00
1.00 Friday saver club = 5.00

I have these also but have been using them at one per week. Would be great if I could use the remainder (4) on my big Christmas shop. Will give it a go! Thanks

Yep, you can use these any week at Tesco as long as the cashier doesn't mind/care about the dates on them. Tesco accept these as a total loss-leader anyway so it makes no difference to them what the date on them is.

Also, they will scan even if you don't do the minimum spend, again if at a till it will depend upon a nice cashier accepting one (or more) anyway.

Oh yes, and if Sainsburys ever send you a birthday pressie (voucher for chocs or something) these also scan at Tesco for around £5 - without buying chocs as part of your shopping - because Tesco want your business.

Hi Stebiz, they send you these from Sainsburys if you are a regular customer there (assuming they have your details through Nectar). I haven't had any for ages but bought other people's on ebay a few times, they work just as well!

  • Instead of these ones this time, Sainsburys sent me Quadruple nectar points (not nearly as good)
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p

I had fantastic success this afternoon. I wentt to a SA who scanned all my vouchers the last time I saw her in store (about three months ago). I handed in five Sainsbury's voucher, a clothing vouchers and some others that have been refused by other SAs in the last few weeks and she took everyone of them. I got my bill down from £214 to £167!:j

And she was really really nice. FYI she was an older SA and I have always been rebuffed by the younger ones, so you never can tell.
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j
