Nearest bus/train station to Premier Inn Alfred Street Belfast

Hi all, I was able to get 2 nights at Premier Inn Alfred St Belfast for £59. I was looking to travel from L'Derry using train or bus since the Inn does not have free parking and its in the city centre and I don't like driving in Belfast. I need some advice please....

1. Which bus/train station is closest to Alfred St

2. Do you know of any deals with bus or train at the moment?

Thanks in advanced.....

PS: I was looking at the Priemier Inn at the Titanic would we need our car for that one. It looked a bit further out on google maps. Is the Titanic centre open and is it worth seeing? Thanks again

Alfred St is 5 mins walk from Europa St station and 10 mins walk from Central, but even better, you can use your train ticket to get a free bus from Central to the back of the city hall, which is 1 min walk from the Premier Inn at Alfred St!
The one at the Titanic quarter (behind the Odyssey) is less than 5 mins in a taxi from Central station. Would cost about a fiver, tops.

To be honest, I would get off at Europa Buscentre / Great Victoria St train station or Central Station and walk from there - it's not that far. Taking the bus from Central really doesn't save you that much time over just walking from Central.

    Your special offers are here:

I would advise you to get the bus, as the journey is much quicker, although the train route is more scenic.

P.S. No, the Titanic Centre isn't open yet (next year I think?). And the Alfred Street Premier Inn is more convenient for the City Centre than the Titanic Quarter one, although neither are particularly far away.

This is very helpful so thank you. We intend to have one evening meal at Premier (good reviews on tripadvisor) but would like to try somewhere else that within walking distance. Nothing to fancy but a step up from McDonalds KFC etc (though we like those at home:-)) and where we can sit in. Maybe a family run pizza or something similar to a Harry Ramsden. Any ideas or recommendations...Thanks

My recommendations - based on your requirements would be Maggie Mays (a lovely wee cafe serving your typical afe food - frys, pies, lasagne etc), it has a really nice atmosphere and is very reasonable

Another would be Bishops - which is basically Belfast's version of Harry Ramsden!

Both are slightly out of the city centre but not far, maybe 10-15min walk from Hotel.

I've never been, but Little Wing Pizzeria gets very good reviews. I think the nearest one is on Ann Street if I'm not mistaken.

ALthough not family run, I'd recommend Pizza Express in Bedford Street - it's a 5 minute walk from the hotel and there are always offers on - e.g. 2 for 1 main courses, 2 courses for a tenner etc. (Check their website for vouchers). Also has a nice atmosphere.

Tell you what D.A., lets have a competition, see who can get to Premier Inn first? You walk from Central and I'll take the bus from Central, get off at City Hall and walk to Premier Inn. Winner buys a round...or 5.:D:D

A great little pizzeria is Legends on the Lisburn Road. My favourite in town, extremely reasonably priced and only a 15 min walk away. Unless you're D.A. who'll do it in 3.... lol :p

You might be waiting up to about 10 minutes for you bus to arrive though. By that time, I'd be at the Premier Inn. ;-)

If you do get the train, look at also getting the "Plusbus Ticket" which will allow you unlimited use of the bus's on the Metro system for the day you arrive in Belfast at a special July only price of £1.50

It has to be brought from NIR at the time you're getting the train tickets.

For something different you could try the Lebanese resturant Byblos (in Amelia St) beside the hotel, reasonable prices and its B.Y.O
