Tesco Return - Can I return to a different store?

I hope I'm posting on the right board here.
Just a quick question, I bought my son some sports socks the other day from a Tesco Extra store, got the first pair out and they are ENORMOUS!! label says size 4-6 which I wanted but I think the socks must have been packaged wrongly, honestly the foot part is so long, looks really strange.
Anyway, I'd like to return them but can I take them to a different (smaller) store?
Thanks.

I'm not sure but when I worked for them (a lifetime ago ) we had a policy if we didn't stock it then the answer was no.
That said if they aren't fit for purpose I would have thought any Tesco should give you a refund (only my opinion )
If you phone your local Tesco have the bar code number to hand and I expect they can tap it into their system and give you an answer.Either way a phone call will sort it.0 -
Hi there, my first post!
You will only be able to return the socks to a branch that sells exactly the same product, otherwise it will mess up their stock records.
Hope this helps, although it is probably not the answer that you hoped for!0 -
Thanks both, that's ok I'll go back to the bigger store just to be on the safe side, its not far away but I always spend too much when I go there!

Good luck! You should take care next time to avoid it.0

You can, but stick to bigger stores. You can't in an Express, unless they sell it.
If it's damaged, it can go back to any store. If it's a straightforward return (unopened can of beans) you can't do it in an Express unless they sell it.0
