Asda "Status" remote controlled electric sockets

I bought some Asda "Status" remote controlled electric sockets. They were great until a few days ago when the remote started failing to control one one the sockets. Now the only button which works is the bottom one - and it only functions as an "all off / all on" as the top button should. The top button does nothing. While it might be possible to re-program three buttons (if I can remember how) the top one, is, as far as I recall, pre-set - unless anyone knows any different...?
Thanks

Have you tried replacing the batteries? They are probably CR232s or similar - buying a multi-pack from eBay is way cheaper than the High Street.

Thanks. It's an MN22 (or something like that) cylinder type battery. When no one is watching the telly I'll give it a try.0

No - I tried a new battery. l am a bit rusty on setting the control up - I think it's only pointing it at the socket and pressing the on button for two seconds but I would be grateful if anyone would refresh my memory. I usually keep instructions handy but can't find them. Thanks0

I've still got instructions if you would like to pm a email address I'll scan mine and send it to you sometime today.:)0
