We got our valuation done last Mon. Haven't received the offer yet, i.e. 10 days after the valuation. Have been chasing them up every single day. Yesterday they said they'd just sent the offer. But I won't believe them until I see the offer...
Well, we've received an offer in the post. BUT... some details here are wrong... This ING is unbelievable... unbelievably stupid and unprofessional... so many mistakes at every single step of the way... I've called today and requested them to fix the errors and re-send a correct offer ASAP. Well, their definition of ASAP is - early next week... If I knew how it would all turn out I would never have applied to ING.0 -
Well we've still not got any further updates from Abbey on our Mortgage application. My broker has said Abbey are 2 to 3 days behind on processing post and are only just dealing with documents recived on the 29th June. Is anybody else still waiting for theirs?0

If your mortgage is from a broker with the Abbey you can check their current "service levels" here on the broker site

This is my third propery purchase and it gets no less stressful.
Apologies if I am missing something here, if this is your third property purchase then I would imagine you to know what happens next in the process by now!Nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. - Alex Supertramp0 -
Abbey are now driving me nuts. The broker re-submitted the payslips via uploading to abbeys system and they finally got around to looking at them yesterday (they were sent 1st July). They have again rejected them saying they are too small and so my broker has had them enlarged and re uploaded them last night. He phoned them this morning to see if they can have a look straight away to see if suitable (as this has now been dragging on since 27th June) and they have said they are now in the queue again. According to the service levels they are still only processing documents from the 1st of July so potentially that means we will not get an answer to say yes they are now ok until middle of next week. We were supposed to have exchanged contracts tomorrow. The payslips in question are from the NHS, surely they don't ask for enlarged copies of all NHS documents!!!!0

I'm in the same boat, and my hair is going grey!!!!!!!!
Declined on one re-mortgage (buy to let) as the surveyor could not guarantee 100% there would be no future movement on the 120 yr property, even though a structural engineer confirmed this.
Now with another lender, sent all paperwork, they have purchased the valuation from the other surveyor as it valued the property to the rent income we need. Still waiting to hear if all satisfactory, I can honestly say NEVER AGAIN! good luck to all of you on here and I hope WE all hear what we want to soon!0 -
Abbey have again rejected the latest copy of the payslips saying they are unable to read them as they are too light. Are they being serious? Has anybody else ever had problems with Abbey accepting documents uploaded onto their MATS system? My broker has said he may have to post the originals but this is going to delay the process by at least another week due to them being behind. I feel like telling them to shove the mortgage and go with the Halifax.0

No word yet from our broker for the offer letter.
We are supposed to be exchanging this Friday!
To the Palmist - yes this is the third time i have bought but to be honest my life gets filled up with so much else that i easily forget the process. I think also, that nerves and anxiety come in to play and you post on here to get reassurance or advice regardless of how much previous experience you have. I should know by now though!! Maybe should keep a diary!
Jonomassey - sounds ridiculous to me! Can you see what they are seeing? Can your broker? Is the claim legitimate? We had to re-send payslips also and this is what held our application up. I hope that we get an answer today!0 -
The broker has said the payslips look fine to him when he prints them however they do look a little light on the system when he uploads them. I guess Abbey will use electronic copies attached to our case file. I've not seen them myself to comment but the originals look the same as my pay slips except the text is a little smaller and mine are fine.0
