Hi -
Where is the best place to get lumpwood charcoal, wood for kindling and some firelighters?
I've looked at Wilko's - nothing.

We make our firelighters (very cheap). We go and gather pine cones then dip them in wax it saves a small fortune.Homebargains sell firelighters for 39p a box.0

Thank you - that's a great tip frosty. Something I may well do for the purposes of lighting a fire when camping.
Due to the short notice and because this is a BBQ I'll go for the firelighters: - 39p is a bargain. It would cost me many times more in "time" to make my own - if that makes sense ??0 -
You can make firelighters by compressing old paper into bricks with one of these machines

I got one new for £16.99 off ebay for my dad and its a good way to get rid of your old newspaper/magazines etc. Perhaps not the cheapest or quickest option though? Cat0
