Or maybe people have less money to spend, on account of taxes going up, fuel costs continually soaring, living costs rocketing and what else? Ah yeah incomes falling.

    Rocket science it is not.

I have linked to Forex factory and quoted the ONS on post 3!!!!

The figures are up for the year and fell in the one month you mentioned.
They are now back at + 0.9% for the last two months.

That would hint at GDP growth to me, but lets just concentrate on a month, the one with the extra day bank holiday.

Why not concentrate on the article.

You are twisting like a mad man here. You don't have to see negative growth to see a fall.

This is the biggest fall for 15 months. Regardless of the months you point out where growth happened and accuse me of only looking at one month (I only posted the article in fact, never looked at any months and never analysed any further than the tired weather stuff....you just piled in with accusations from the outset).

Completely normal for you when you don't like a figure.

    .

I am , just based on the ONS data not the BBC news site, A site you have accused in the past of bias and spin.

The BBC story is based on the Data linked to on post 3.

I am debating the data is there a problem, No twisting it is there for all to see in black and white.

Growth looks OK in the service sector at the moment apart from April from what I can see. As long as it is in growth on the same time last year I am fairly happy, it may change but the data if you look at it is hardly enough to warrant an over reaction.

How the hell I don't know. The economy just seems to continue to defy any form of logic.

Less household income due to inflation, pay freezes, less spending etc = growth

I know there is more to the economy than consumer spending alone, but manufacturing and construction don't seem to be on fire at the moment either.
