(To the mod's of this board, feel free to move this thread elsewhere... i couldn't find an exact location to put this)
Hello
Okay Im at a loss here - after hours of googling this and that - I have no clue what to try next.
I like to buy clothes - mainly printed t-shirts that are a bit different... not something from Top Man or Burton... wanting to wear something a bit different, not really a fan of walking through town to find someones wearing my exact t-shirt
I've tried looking on the internet for different clothing stores - selling alternative fashion (although as im sure most will find out typing "Alternative Clothing Men" will return about a million results of band-tee sites or gothic and emo apparel that sell stuff similar to what you find being sold at my local market). I usually end up finding myself browsing the stores across the pond (Stateside)... as, well, no one here's exactly going to be wearing stuff from over there!
Of course, being a British citizen, its not usually about how much the clothes are in the first place, but the shipping.
Ive found a few sites in the past who are not crazy with their rates, doing deals such as spend more than $50 and the shipping is about a fiver. But not all are so kind!
HotTopic, is one of America's biggest 'alternative' clothing stores; who (from what i understand do not have any chains over here :j)... I love alot of things on HotTopic, and they usually have the band-tees that I want (for example for country bands and artists)... the prices are not extreme once you convert (£12 for a Med tee)... but its the shipping that hits you.... £20.
Yes. £20 great british pounds to ship... a t-shirt....
No options to send it slower (i dont mind waiting 4 weeks), just that flat rate... whereas if you were a US address its a mere £3. Swear i've ordered CD's with lower rates than £20.... not much of a difference in weight either!
Before you say 'Mail Forwarding Service' - ive looked. And have found nothing but even more expensive deals (Our service provide lower shipping rates up to 80%... my a**)... who want sign up charges of £12 then some monthly charges of £12 and then a handling fee of £5.... which makes no sense because i thought we were trying to 'reduce costs' here.
Anyway.... the point of this thread is this:

Dan
[P.s. please also do not tell me to just 'go to TK Maxx'... i do that already...

- Does anyone know any GOOD (do not link me to ASOS or eBay or Play or Amazon... or anything in the first 30 results from google) sites for mens clothing of an alternative style (US/EU/UK - with good shipping rates ofc).
- Anyone know if there are any cheap 'mail fowarding' services with US addresses out there... or was i just getting hopeful
