Poor quality prints from asda

I took advantage of 50 free prints from asda where you just pay 1.99 for packing. Quite a number of the prints are dark or over contrast. I have tried to search the site for any disclaimer but cant find anything about the quality. The images were all taken with good resolution and looked fine at preview.
Have i got any reason for complaint, only these offers are not cheap if u get more quality as a result
Has anyone else had any problems like this

I had the same problem with prints from Tesco, they say it is because they use dye instead of ink, I got a refund from customer services as I needed the prints to show the quality of a camera as I am a sales rep for a camera manufacturer. I have found the quality much better in Boots and Jessops and would pay for the quality. Hope you have no problem getting a refund.0

I have just had exactly the same problem, registered with Tesco, Asda and Jessops. Both Tesco and Jessops prints are greats but Asda's are so poor. Regardless of whether they are free prints I emailed and complained they told me to send back and I would receive a refund for the P & P however if they reprinted the quality would be the same. Funnily enough though I printed one of the pictures which I had done online instore and the quality was fine. I also had one of the pics done by asda printed by jessops also a free print for registering and the quality between the two is massive. All I can say is I wouldn't waste my time using asda's online photo service again.0

Thank you to both of you. I dont like to think I am being a pain but the pictures are of my new baby and I was hoping to show them to friends and family and I was so disappointed when the pictures came. I know there is a link for the free photos on this site it would be worth people knowing this rather than wasting the 1.99 on such poor prints
