  • I finally achieved my Debt Free Day on the 24th November 2006 and celebrated by buying everyone in my office cake and spreading the word of this website.

My LBM was Aug 2001 when I realised that I had £15,483.52 of debt, and very little to show for it!

I would like to thank Martin and all of the other contributors to this website, as the advice on this site and the weekly emails, was a great help and I intend to continue visiting the site to help me remain debt free, and to keep up to date with all the latest deals, offers and money management wisdom.

I paid off the final £3,014.98 of my debt in 2006, so this brings the total to £1439996.43. Well done everyone - I think that's an amazing acheivement!

Oh, i just found this thread! Looks like fun...

I'll add mine - since having a LBM in April 06 I have paid 6,500 off my debts (give or take a few pence!). Just over 25k to go to become debt free. i think this will be a good year, because my partner is looking for a better job and we'll be able to pay it off faster.

    Grand total now is... 1,457,718.43
