Support worker jobs in Edinburgh

I am moving to Edinburgh in September to study. I will be studying full time and will be living on my partners wages and student loans. We have a young daughter who will be turning one year later on this year. To boost our income I intend to work part time and would like to find out the names of any reputable agencies for support work. I have googled and have rang up a few agencies and they all promise to get me regular work. However previous experience tells me that they will all claim to offer regular jobs when in fact they could be struggling for contracts themselves. Basically I need to know the big players in the Edinburgh West Lothian areas. I am looking at working evenings and weekends and some night shifts. Your ideas would be appreciated.

I have worked for a company called carewatch, when I was there they had enough contracts to keep me full time and then part time when I started college, I had regular clients which was nice and as long as I was firm about how long it would take to travel for each client and how far I was prepared to travel they were a good company. New manager now so things might have changed but I enjoyed my time with them.0

Hi babaUK
There is quite a good website called Good Moves...they advertise a lot of support worker jobs on it. The website is http://www.goodmoves.org.uk/jobs
My cousin has his care provided by Carr Gomm and another cousin worked for them.
Good luck with your move, Edinburgh is a great place to live...where are you going to study (if you dont mind me being nosy
