Hi Clapton
I understand what you are saying, but I'm VERY lucky in that my mum is a great help in times of emergency and has said that she will help to keep me on the road (can't get to work without the car).
Renting out a room.... yes a possibility, but not sure it's workable... my house is v small and I do overtime from home a lot... would consider if it was someone I knew though.
I definately don't want to go down the bankruptcy route... nor do I want to lose my house... My income is pretty good and I do a fair amount of irregular overtime which I'm going to also keep for emergencies and clothing (and use some of this at the end of each year to give to the creditors). Also I get a salary increase of £80 a month in april... so things are going to improve, albeit slowly. Believe me, this new payment plan leaves me with so much more than I've been living off the last 2 years that I feel positively rich!DMP with payplan started Feb 07 ... total debts... £66,000 Debt Free date 20240
