hi has anyone had dealings with link finance
i had a loan from GE money unfortunalty with my wife being laid off and my company messing me about with my wages i got into arrears and like some blokes i became very stressed etc and stuck my head in the sand (sorry)
however i then had a call from this link finance demanding i raise the amount outstanding approx £4500 if not then £3000 in interest would be added
i informed them i could not raise this money but would pay £100 per month this they wasn't happy with and apart from one letter and one call i heard no more but i have kept paying them the £100 per month
i just had another call which my wife took when asked who it was she was told it was Richie and needed to speak to me
i was again asked if i had raised the full amount and i replied no and i couldn't raise it i was then asked why i hadn't raised it
i again stated i would pay £100 per month into my account with GE money as link have not sent me any detail or accounts for me to pay into
my questions are
1 has anyone dealt with them
2 can they demand i raise the full amount
3 if i continue to pay into GE money can the do anything
when you speak to these guys they sound very young and almost aggressive in there manor

There are people who post on here who have dealt with them, they are pretty typical for DCAs.
If you are in arrears they are allowed to ask for the debt to be repaid in full. But they are not allowed to harrass you.
I would suggest you send them a letter (recorded) to ask for all communication to be in writing and for them to remove your phone number from their database (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11571485&postcount=4),
Plus you might also want to read this post - so you can see all the rules they break and report them to the OFT - OFT Debt Collection & letter Guidance - READ IF YOU ARE BEING HASSLEDA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
