Woolwich endowment policy

Im not sure if im posting in the right place so apologies if its not
My mum has asked for my help her and my dad have found an old endowment life insurance policy that they want to cash in, it was with the woolwich, my dad said they have been taken over by Barclays and he has tried contacting them but they havent been much help
So does anyone have any information about what or who he could contact next

They should be getting some sort of annual statement if the policy is still valid. Are they still paying the premiums?0
