Can I cancel my loan?
Hi,
I am not sure if someone can advise me please. I got a loan out about 3 years ago for my husband for an online course which eventually was not pursued as the circumstances changed and it didn't remain a priority. But I am still paying instalments. Its very hard to pay for something that you will not use.
Is there any clause or advise which may save me this money?
Any and every help will be great.
Thanks

you took the loan thus signing an agreement, Unfortunately you cant wrangle out of this one - unless your husband declares bankruptcyI owe £3233 @ 0%0

I would seriously doubt you could get out of it just because your circumstances have changed."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

call the loan company, ask for a settlement figure adnd if you can, pay it off early in oe lump sum. that will save you money in the long run.
However, if you're looking for a way to not pay the loan (just me being cynical), this isn't the forum. We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0 -
Its the same as paying for a holiday and then not going. Just because you didn't utilise the online course doesnt mean that you don't owe for the loan.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

You need to be a bit clearer. Do you mean settle the outstanding. Or just stop paying.
If you mean not paying then you maybe shouldn't leave the house each day. I mean what has this country come too. Are people really this stupid.
Actually OP can i borrow some money off you. BTW I hope its ok if I dont pay it back.
P.s If you are looking to settle it then you are not one of the stupid ones0 -
I'm trying to understand this. Took a loan out 3 years ago for a course which was never started, so you have been paying installments ever since. When did it become apparent that husband was not going to start the course? Could you not have got in touch with the course provider and asked for a refund asap, and paid it back to the loan company?
