Australian teachers pension

My daughter worked in Queensland for nearly a year and had pension deductions. When she found out about them (a statement arrived from Queensland) it was to late to transfer the small balance into her UK teachers pension.
What are her options?

The only thing that is constant is change.

Not sure if this is still the case, but may be of use....
If your daughter doesn't have any residency rights in Australia (ie the employment arose from a working holiday or such like) then about 10 years ago I was able to get the pension fund value paid in cash (via cheque) - key point was no right of abode as I recall.0 -
how did you get that? I worked in Oz and paid super and tax etc but was told you couldn't get it back.0

I think you can go back to something like 1992 or 1994.
I caution that my knowledge on this is very hazy, as it was before I started taking an interest in pensions. I would imagine that different schemes have different rules, and in particular teachers might be part of an occupational scheme that is subject to different rules to the Australian equivalent of our personal pensions, just as our teacher's scheme would be.0
