Payroll don't want anything to do with the travel claims - it's a separate department?!
Well, speak to that dept then?
I made a fuss when one of my expenses claims didn't go through for 6 weeks; bearing in mind they get the money up front they aren't waiting for anything - and they haven't been late since.
Don't accuse anyone - just say you are all trying to find out where the blockage is - however I suspect that they sit in someone's tray and it's a management decision to put them off for another month - so if you all try to innocently find out what the issue is then you might just get someone taking it seriously.
I suspect you all turning up at central office en masse with no fuel in your tanks and no money to buy any might just be the only way to resolve this though - it sounds contrived rather than a genuine error. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
The blockage lies with our most senior manager as it is her that isn't submitting them on time - usually a day or two late, therefore missing the deadline.
Our line manager said she would bring the deadlines to her attention in case she was getting them muddled with the timesheet deadline which is slightly later, but as I have said it seems to be every other month they are missed off and then the following month the double is paid - the arrears and the correct claim. But this is constant - I believe (I'm a newer member of staff) that this is has been happening for at least all of this year and into last year!
We don't believe for one second that our line manager speaking to the senior manager will resolve anything. Ok so next payday we should get the missing month's but that doesn't help us to pay our bills this month and it will prob happen in August again.
It's just ridiculous - some of us are living very close to the breadline and the management just don't think about this.0 -
Would getting a 0% credit card at least ease the stress until you get this sorted? Make all the payments onto the card and ensure the min is set up for Direct Debit. You can then transfer the funds once you get the money. Does your line manager and senior manager both work on the deadline day? If so, you could request that the line manager 'remind' on the actual day. Do this for a few months and it might stick0

I would if I could - I'm trying to get one anyway as hubby and I are trying to clear debt - but I was rejected from an application last year and am wary of trying again as I don't want to mark my credit report.i get my expenses signed off by my manager, then i personally hand them to the payroll, 2 days later i have my money.. i apreciate other companies work different, but i'd hand them in direct yourself save you any future hassle
We work out of a different office, based 20 miles away and we aren't allowed to hand them in direct (even after they've been signed) - they have to be submitted by the manager?!0
