Hi
just thought this might be useful to anyone who buys lurpack anyway. I bought one from asda today and it had some dill seeds attached. Looks like they did other varieties but i could only see dill and thyme on the shelf.
Ive just started a little herb garden so with my love of lurpack i can see it growing quite nicely.
Not sure how long the offer is on but it comes attached to the pack so you can see what your getting. Its not just seeds they come in a circular brown thing which i presume you plant and water??

Not sure because I haven't seen it, but I think the 'circular brown thing' might be compost in a little net wrapper. Soak it & it should expand, & then you start off by popping your seeds in & growing them in that. Once you have yourself a little plant, it can be potted on into a larger pot...no need to remove the circular brown thing at all, just plant the whole thing.:)0 -
Are you talking about Lurpak Spreadable tubs? If so, there are some instructions on the outer cardboard wrapper of the tub. I haven't read them because hubby rips the cardboard off and throws it away before I can get to it. He thought it was a free biscuit.
We have two now but I only know one is Basil, no idea about the other one.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -
Some people have been eating the seed/soil pods thinking they were biscuits:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ha ha , my husband very nearly bit into my Basil cookie!
It was amazing how the buiscuit grew up into a big scon.
Now I have about 30 little Basil plants growing in my garden this was woth buying.0 -
I thought it was a chocolate chip cookie too

I planted two Dill "cookies " on 19th June in the Lurpak tub. Its just the right size and they
are about an inch and a half tall now. I'm just about
to plant two Thyme ones but I am having
difficulty finding Basil and Parsley ones.
This is a great freebie, I can't wait to use them :T0 -
My basil ones are growing absolutely amazingly. I grew them for about 3-4 weeks just in the soil it came with and i replanted them this weekend where they are flourishing.0
