I did a search on food banks and couldnt find a dedicated thread.
Following on from a post on another thread I wondered if people are aware that the demand for food banks is greater than ever, and new ones are opening all the time.
If you would like more info this is the umbrella organisation Trussell Trust. You can find your nearest food bank here (right hand side of the page).
Food banks do food drives at local supermarkets, you just drop your donation of food into the trolley. You can also donate financially online.
The Trussell Trust website (or your local FB website) gives information on how people in need can get their foodbank voucher.
You can also volunteer or set up a foodbank in your town via your church organisation.
