Red Ink stain on new white shirt

Please any one help my husband's white shirt has a red ink stain on it, unfortunately he tried washing it under the tap and the stain just bleed and it made it worse. I would be very grateful if any one can help.:j

    get a new hubby that doesnt stain things!:p only joking! try running it under a cold tap the shirt that is and not hubby :rotfl: rinse it for as long as poss then add some washing up liquid to any leftover stain and rinse again for as long as poss. if theres any stain left mix up a solution of lemon/ammonia and water and leave it to soak then wash as normal : rubbing the stain with alcohol or hairspray apparantly works too:confused: if you cant get the stain out dont dry it or it will set the stain, chuck it in a bucket of cold water to soak and come back on here for more info
    proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p
