House of Fraser are suppose to be good(never went there myself).
Marks and Spencer are rubbish, a friend was measure and sold bras that are too big in the cup size. She was told as you get older your boobs flatten out, thats why the bras look like that on!!! Er no the cup is too bloody big you moron.
Debenhams in Belfast if you can get the older lady who is the manager of the underwear deparment is pretty good. They don't tell you your cup size you just try on until the right fit.
There is a small bra shop opened in Arthur Street beside Starbucks. Never been in but heard they know their stuff.
I miss Pretty Woman as they knew how to measure you properly. Wish a Braissimo(sp), would open here.0 -

Thanks was going to go in today as after watching a "how to fit ur bra video" on the net, most of my bras are the wrong size
Was thinking of trying debenhams, hopefully the older woman will be there, I will try and get in early
I had read Braissimo is really good, dear knows when one will come to belfast
Thanks:T0 -
House of Fraser gets my vote. I was always an M&S girl until recently when I was measured and the girl brought in a few different styles in the same size. Out of about half a dozen, only one fitted anywhere close to correctly.
Without getting too personal, 2 kids later and I'm not quite what I used to be so decided to try HoF on a whim. The girl was brilliant, measured very quickly and boy were the results impressive :j0 -
Just an update, went to Debenhams today and the girl was very clued up and got 2 lovely new bras which fit and look great, very pleased with my new purchases0

Hi, I have just recently finished working in a lingerie boutique and I would reccommend you visit a small independant shop rather than a large department store. No disrespect to the ladies who work there but they don't have as much training offered to them. Most department stores still use a measuring tape which will not give you the correct size. That technique was invented when there were only a few cup sizes available, now there are many different sizes.
also you will noy be the same size in every bra, didderent styles and even colours can fit differently.
The main things to go for is a firm fit round the band, most ladies are usually smaller round the back and larger in the cup than they think.
Make sure that where the band sits under your bust it also sits level at the back and does not move up and down your back if you lift your arms up. (most bras that are to big ride up your back and then dig in at the front making ladies think they are to small)
Make sure the wire is not sitting on any breast tissue and encases the whole bust. If it sits on your breast tissue you need a bigger cup. Also make sure that you are not spilling over the top.
Straps are really there for a little extra support and it is up to personal comfort how you have them but they do not have to be level (most ladies have one breast larger than the other just like your hands and feet)
A bra is also like a pair of shoes, they do need a little breaking in but should still be comfortable. They can also leave red marks due to pressure but this is ok as long as it is not causing soreness.
Think I have covered the basics, if you would like to know anything more please dont hesitate to ask and I hope I have been of some help*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0 -
i emailed bravissimo a few months ago to see if they had plans to open in belfast, but they said no0
