Wood for mantlepiece

Hello

Does anyone know of anywhere that would supply a piece of wood 1.5 meters long, 12 inches wide and 4 inches high?

It's for a mantlepiece and I'm having real bother getting it - railway sleepers aren't big enough!

I got a piece of 12x4" ordinary softwood timber from A.R.D.S. in Castledawson a couple of years ago if that is of any help. I tried several places before finding it there.

Can you just call a sawmill and ask them to cut to size? There is a sawmill in Crumlin called Rea's 028 9442 3293.

I got a bit of timber from the place that sells second hand bricks etc on the side of teh A1 on the hillsborough side of Dromore...

I tried Reas but they didn't have anything suitable only wet wood (?). Then tried Ballytrim Sawmills in Killyleagh and got sorted there.
