not helpful but its A answer
was about 7 years ago now but i worked for lidls and it was a months pay. also took 2 extra weeks for the administration to go through.. so i was 6 weeks without pay.
hint if in receipt of benefits dont stop benefits until week before pay day.
you are not in receipt of any money until pay day so technically you not frauding "the system"
my job only lasted 4 weeks so i donee the wrong thing of signing off JSA day before starting job. then worked for 3 weeks and on 4th week couldnt affor petrol to get to work so i was always late and sweaty running into work.
they decided i was not good enough and let me go. JSA then said they could not sign me back on until AFTER i received pay slip as i would be in receipt of income while on JSA if they signed on at week 4...
so on week 6 received months pay. and then signed on week 7 which took usual delays to actually receive JSA payment again.
2 months of HELL!!!
so dont sign off until week before pay day.0 -

This is not good advice and is technically fraud which could just store up a whole load of trouble for the future.
Sorry OP but had to point that out.
AFAIK it is monthly paid. Best of luck to your son.Sometimes it seems that just when I think I have reached rock bottom, someone hands me a shovel.0
