This shameless promotion of your business is an abuse of this forum.nancywilliam123 wrote: »Shape wear garments are actually replacing everyday bras and panties for many women. This is a new trend in women's shape wear and body shapers. Rather than wear a pair of panties, women will put on, for example a Spanx 032 Higher Power High Waist Panties and wear it throughout the day. Or a woman will wear a Barely There 4214 Breathe Shaping Camisole, or the Nancy Ganz 3310 Body Shaping Camisole instead of a bra or bodysuit. With the new performance fabrics, women's shape wear is now giving adequate support and shape for women; the resulting effect is the dismissal of traditional bras and panties.

OP - beware, if you do not get very high-waisted knickers, the muffin top will still be evident (this happened to me
and I have the photographic evidence to prove it!)...so try before you buy. Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I have NO luck with these at all! The excess fat has gotta show somewhere, and even the super high waist super suck in m&s pants didn't give me a smooth silhouette. I'm not fat by a long shot, I tried them to get a perfectly flat looking stomach but ended up with a little bulge at the top of them and it just looked like my tummy was a smooth solid bump. I don't wanna use a body suit because it just adds another layer and is hot and bulky under a thin dress.
Does anyone know where sells mesh slips/shapewear? Like they use under roland mouret dresses just to reduce jiggle and smooth slighty.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Spanx are the best that I've found. They smooth me out pretty well and are comfy, too. Nothing is ever going to make us look airbrushed, but their high waisted knickers make me feel much more confident. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

I'd totally agree with this!
Even the skinniest of people, unless they are very unwell will have some degree of body fat and wearing either too tight clothes or "shaping" underware just results in the body fat being displaced. Its healthy to have a certain amount of body fat (between 20-26% if your a women) but wearing too tight clothes can give you an odd shape by moving fat around and end up with you looking larger then you are because you've drawn attention to the body fat which has been drawn together to form some sort of muffin top- its inescapable unless, like I said, you are very unwell and have no body fat (in that case you'd probably be unlikey to find such underware which would fit let alone be able to have the energy to shop for it)
I'd suggest wearing things with a billowing part around where the underware ends but all you got to do is move too much and the shape will show through your clothes unless your that layered up that its all hidden very very well.
Maybe see if you can visit a clothes store which has style assistants of some sort for personal shopping/style advice. Most will be free. You could get their opinion on what to wear and what underware would work for it and if your lucky, an honest opinion as to weather or not it works out OK. Probably not with the pants but definetly with the upper body things like corsets and vests.0 -
Spanx are supposed to be amazing but in my experience they roll down from the belly and up at the thigh and you still have a muffin top, it's just higher!! I've been looking at slip type versions on debenhams and ebay. Think I'm going to invest.0

High waisted knickers, body then control tights?:D You'll end up with a miffin neck.
Heaven help you if you need the loo as it'll take you hours to get them off and then back on again :rotfl:I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 20130
