Just a quick question

You know the people who sort out the budgets on programmes like bank of mum and dad( someone gold is it?) and spendaholics ( the man and the woman- but here more than him!)

- do they do like independent financial advice? I know there would be a fee involved but just wondered?
A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

A young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent,
the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.

I'm sure some of them do - however this is 'for TV' budgeting, not the real stuff. For example, not buying your GF an expensive birthday present does NOT count as a saving!!! (which is a shame as I 'saved' 1.6 million today by not buying a flat in Mayfair:D ).

If you are after budgeting advice for yourself can I suggest you read the sticky on how to do an SOA (Statement of Affairs) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280 , prepare your SOA then post it under a new thread - there are 'real' experts on here!

    Nice post Ali.

Of course the big advantage of this board is that several brains get applied to the problem - and different people specialise in different aspects.

Much better than whatshisname off the telly - and cheaper!
