It's worth remembering that the FTSE just reflects the prices of the constituent shares; it's not a vote on the British economy. I would guess that most of the profits of FTSE100 companies are generated abroad.
Oh and a single day's movement is just noise usually. It's as likely to reflect technical factors as much as anything else eg last week was 'triple witching' when options, forwards and futures all expired.0 -

But its not a single days movement. It is a judgement on the past & future (immediate or longer term)
You know. Sell before the drop & buy again 30 minutes (sic) later.
