Mis-sold 2 mortgage offers from the same IFA

  • Apparently, I was told, it was the same girl who told me my 2nd offer will expire at the end of May when in fact it will expire on 31st Jan, that sent it out to me.
  • Adding to my previous post: When I agreed to the 2nd mortgage offer I was told to send a cheque made payable to the lender for the product fee. Few days later, I received a phone call from another person from the intermediary to say the lenders don't accept cheques and gave them my debit cards details providing they send the cheque back. I recieved the cheque the very next day yet had never received the KFI and as far as I'm aware, I don't have any problems with the post to my address.

If you add the fee some lenders may invoice you a nominal amount, say £90, to cover their time in processing the application to date, however this is all in the terms and conditions of the declaration relating to the particular lnder.
