Blockbuster only 1 nite rental with Nectar

I went into my local blockbusters and used my nectar card to pay for 2 dvd's cost £3.95 each, free with 1000 points. The guy behind the counter said im only allowed the films for 1 night, as I was paying with nectar points. Went in there last month and was allowed the usual 2 nights no problem.
Are blockbuster clamping down on nectar points in all stores or was I conned by this 1 shop?
I guess there problem is 500 nectar points are worth £2.50 and with 500 I can get a new release worth £3.95.

Hi there.
I work for blockbuster and you are correct you can rent the films for one night. There is a bit of confusion with everyone at the moment. If you call 0845 60 60 999 and explain to them what has happened im sure they will be able to sort you out.
The offer is if you rent a title on its own it will be 3.95/500 point and you get it for one night
Rent 2 titles for 6/1000 points you get them for 2 nights.
I'm sorry for the dificulity that you had with this store. Im glad to say that were not all like it. But please call and mention what has happened they are open 9-5 monday till friday

Thanks for your reply.
"Rent 2 titles for £6/1000 points you get them for 2 nights."
I rented 3 once before for 1500 nectar points should I of been allowed them for 3 nights?
They also moaned that it should cost more points for a new release why should they care its not coming out of their pocket! (its the same amount of points whether the film is 5 years old or new).
