when i said to my teacher friend that he should be paid according to his results he laughed in my face. jokers.

Do you think you would get teachers lining up to work in tough inner city schools then?

this is what happens when you let the public sector have its way.

get back to work teachers and thank us you have a pension at all, with all the illiterate and innumerate mongos you churn out.

I'm just shocked you have a "friend"

they would get paid more - more pay if you choose to work in a tough inner city school than a nice pleasant rural one. it's not rocket science.

Some violent protests going on in Greece.

    Video here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13935400

This whole EU thing is a complete farce. How on earth can they all pretend they can actually get these austerity measures through.

Sitting around tables trying to agree on something you know you cannot pull off, while people set off rockets at the building you are sitting in, is just plain stupid. Waste of money in itself.

I think that's how this works? Or its easier to progress in any case (if you can put up with it).

Doni't know if anyone has read the FT today, but interesting item on the letters page. David Riley, Group MD of Fitch, wrote in re Greek ratings. Said that the "Vienna Plus" initiative involving a voluntary rollover of Greek bonds would be viewed as a sovereign default event and would place the Greek sovereign rating in Restricted Default. How can it be a default if it is an action proactively orchestrated by the bond holders. If Fitch want their day in the sun they may as well just call a default now. Wait a minute this is what Fitch said a couple of weeks ago.
June 15 (Bloomberg) — Fitch Ratings said it would probably keep ratings of Greek government bonds above default level if European Union leaders go ahead with plans for investors to voluntarily roll over their holdings of the country’s debt.
