    !!!!!! 9 CarolT's!

Is it possible that there are actually only 3 or 4 posters on here, and everyone else is an altered-ego (sockie)?
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

    Ah!

Welcome to the forum. You were born in 109 BC.

Are you telling us you're still saving up for the deposit?

Nope - I'm still waiting for a buyer. OK, the place needs a new roof but most of the columns are still standing. Had literally thousands of viewings, in the last few years they've been coming by the coachload. :rotfl:

I voted for the first option - renting & completely priced out. Although I did sell to rent in August 2010. I have some £ for a deposit saved up (see my sig) but I can buy bu66er all with that.

I want a modest freehold house so I am waiting for the price of these to fall below £100k before I dare contemplate re-entering the housing market once again.

Well, thanks to everyone who responded. To summarise, things are about as bad as I feared:

    • Three people are here because theyre priced out and want to revel in the misery of others and pick the bones of negative equitied homeowners like a flock of desperate gimlet eyed carrion.
    • Six of you have a deposit but are too tight to buy anywhere. !!!!!! even Realistbear has bought a bungalow in a retirement complex somewhere.
    • An even five of Debating Moneysavers want prices to rise as they currently wake up sweating in the night through fear of their huge mortgages and want inflation to take the pain away before their partners divorce them and they end up homeless and insensible under a layby, paralytic on alcoholic hand gel, covered in their own faeces, and oblivious to their dog on a string munching his way through their gangrenous toes.
    • Three people are smug owner occupiers
    • And another three people are coffin dodging baby boomers who cant move in their front rooms due to stacks of Caravan Monthly and copies of The Express.
    • Three of you are slumlords who collect the rent from pregnant single mothers by going door to door and rubbing your fingerless gloves together while threatening them with eviction and the poor house unless they offer you 'favours'.
    • A bakers dozen of posters are protesting a philanthropy and concern for their fellow man that is utterly bereft in the musings of even three posters here, let alone thirteen. I ticked this too, maybe we could all go and set up an orphanage in Botswana together once we've fixed Britain. Occasionally we can come back to the UK and write smug articles to the Guardian about how much better we are than Mail readers.
    • Three of you are Mr Broderick
    • Four of you are Bruno. But as Generali made four accounts so he could vote four times this part of the poll is disqualified.
    • And no less than eleven people are CarolT.
Well there you go. Firkin marvellous.

    To summarise:
    • You have designed a poll in which all the options are categories of people whom you appear to despise.
    • You have ignored all the people who have posted saying they don't fit your categories.
    • You have concluded that the entire readership of the board are despicable because all the votes are for categories of people you consider reprehensible.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Once I've bought a house I'll likely lose all interest in this forum. I hope.

To be fair, I voted that I was someone that posted a video on the internet of him shoving an umbrella up his own anus and was arrested for threatening to take an AK47 to a pub.
