If a letter is addressed to my house I don't care what anyone says I will open it .If it has a different address on it then I'll return to sender. The address on the envelope was hand written and the envelope was closed with bit tape with the corners already torn.(probably it got checked out at the sorting office)

If it's a parcel than thats a different story all together I'll send it back un opened.

The reason why this has ticked me off is because, a few years back someone stole my details took out a couple loans with various lenders circa £20k, I was the one left picking up the pieces, it took 8 months to sort out. The amount of stress I went through was unbelivable and the banks didn;t want to know. So until some thing like that happens to you, you don't know.

And for those of you who thinks I should get a life,
I have a very privileged life for your information.

In my book calling people incompetent when you come out with "know wounder" makes you look rather foolish, see how easy it is to make a mistake.

I find it difficult to believe the BOI would send letters in hand-written envelopes sealed with a bit of sellotape.
Maybe it was your local PO sorting office that mis-directed the letter to your address, and not BOI??

That sounds like someone else sending the paperwork on. Not BoI.
