Selling Jewellery?

I inherited various bits of jewellery from my grandmother, I want to keep a few key pieces, but am not too bothered about the rest as I would never wear it, so thought about selling it. Trouble is I've no idea if it's worthless junk, or a fine example of victorian jewellery and worth loads. How do I find out its worth? I have a couple of earrings and a brooch made with metal and coloured stones - tho guess they could be plastic stones (I really am clueless). There's a pearl (fake/real?) necklace and a large silver(?) necklace, amongst other things.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Try here http://www.jewellery-valuations.com/form though im not sure if you have enough information for them really - maybe try a local antique shop, or you could just pop into a high street jeweller and ask their opinion on the 'realness' of the stones etc0

I would go to an independent jeweller and book an appointment/have an insurance valuation done. We do this sort of thing a lot where I work.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
I think it's better of you keep them, these jewelries are souvenirs of your grandmother, except if you need money, in this case you should buy them!!0
