Crispy Bacon....

I have bought some packs of reduced crispy bacon today thinking I would freeze them but when I have looked at the pack it doesn't say suitable for freezing.....

To freeze or not to freeze..... That is the question:rotfl: :rotfl:

if me i would freeze it. as i always thought if it couldn't be frozen then it would say so. but if it doesn't say either way then imo it is up to the purchaser. but once frozen i would say when u do cook it , don't refreeze. if u get my drift.
  • It is the pre cooked stuff and it doesn't say not suitable for freezing it just doesn't say it is suitable either. I think I will freeze it.

    Thanks

Just a guess but I think it might be because it might lose it's "crispness" when it is defrosted.

I would go ahead and freeze it.
  • Oh sorry, just read the thread, didnt realise it said CrispyBACON, thought you wanted me for something!! :D

    Erm, yeah freeze it, WTFN?

I've frozen this before and it has been fine but as the earlier poster said it won't be crispy any more so no crumbling over salad, but would be fine in sandwiches.
