School Holiday Hamper (Activities / Crafts etc)

Hello,

I am not sure if I am posting in the right place..........

I do enjoy the summer holiday but not the expense!

I am planning over the next few weeks to put together a hamper full of crafts and activities for the children to do over the 6 weeks holidays. Trying to keep them busy and occupied for as little as possible ;)

My son is 6 and my daughter 3, here is what I have so far....(mostly from the £1 shop)

Magnifying glasses
Insect sheet
Small fishing nets
Colouring books
Pens
Playdough
Childrens cookbook
Leaflets for local parks/museum/nature reserve/libray etc
A scrapbook/diary so my son can write and drawn in each day what we have done.
Seeds for planting
Cheap 2nd hand digital camera so we can make our own postcards to send to family who live away, my nan loves these.

I am going to make some vouchers for ice creams/magazine/sweets etc so my son can use them wisely and not expect all of this every time we go out to the park.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Thanks curiouscrafter for your ideas. Salt dough, play dough and plasticine are good for modelling. Making volcanoes out of playdough and washing up liquid, bicarbonate of soda, distilled vinegar and red food colouring are always a hit.
